Familiarize yourself with the OET test structure. About the OET sub-tests: Reading (60 minutes) • Part A:15 minutes; assesses your ability to locate specific information in a text then answer 20 MCQs about it. These questions consist of sentence-completion, matching words to the text, and short-answer questions. • Part B and C: 45 minutes; assess careful reading. Part B: 3 MCQs, Part C: 8 MCQs [1][2] Listening (45 minutes) • Part A: 2 recorded consultations; complete a health note from that information. • Part B: 6 short workplace recordings; 1 MCQ each • Part C: 2 recorded healthcare interviews or presentations; 6 MCQs each[1][2] Writing (45 minutes) • This section is specific to your profession and is based on a typical workplace interaction • Write a letter e.g., letters of referral, discharge, or patient transfer. Related case notes will be provided and they must be mentioned in the letter.
