Abstract

I am writing to highlight the significant challenges faced by International Medical Graduates (IMGs) in the UK, as evidenced by recent studies, and to propose actionable solutions to support their integration into the National Health Service (NHS). IMGs constitute approximately 25% of the UK medical workforce, yet they face numerous barriers that hinder their professional and personal well-being. These challenges, if unaddressed, risk exacerbating the ongoing workforce crisis in the NHS.
